The Apocalypse begins with a short prologue, where it is stated that contains the revelation of Jesus Christ to John and through him to all believers. Then the author names himself of it, as well as its recipients, that is, its seven churches Asia. It also heralds the coming of Jesus Christ for judgment of all the tribes of the earth. Here are seven letters to these seven churches, some of which he praises and others he controls.
